Infusion page 8: Finished
After the recess and coaming were finished, it was time to join the deck to the hull. In addition to the blocks and tape, screws were driven through the lap joint about every 18 inches to help pull the joint together. Epoxy thickened with silica was used as the adhesive. No additional seam tape was used.
After fairing the bottom edge of the hull to deck joint, the boat was painted light gray with a urethane enamel. Here, it is shown in front of the mold boat. We have plans for a more interesting paint job.
